• Do you offer any Training or Certifications?

  Yes! Our certification programs include half day trials for fun and pictures, all the way through to certifying you to be able to turn your hobby into more!

• Are there any requirements to sign up?

  The Discover and Basic courses do not have to have any pre-requisites to join. Due to the nature of these activities however it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you have prior swimming experience and are at least comfortable in the water.

• What’s included in the cost of a Course?

  All courses include gear rental, costs of eMaterials from PADI, and your PADI certification (if applicable). They also include basic photographs (unedited) to take home as well as videos during certification courses to help fine-tune technique. They do NOT include transport/entrance fees if required.

• I booked, but something came up. Can I reschedule?

  Yes. Email us at … so we can properly assist you on a case by case basis.

• What are Mermaids, Merman/men, Merfolk, and Merrows?

  These are general terms used in the greater mermaiding world/community to refer to people that enjoy and use monofins and tail skins in any capacity from hobby to professional. Mermaids/Mermaiding is the most common umbrella term for everyone in this community and the activity itself, also commonly known as Merfolk. I personally prefer and use Merrows for the community at large and Mermaid(s), Merman/Mermen, and Siren(s) to specify within the community as I feel Merrow is a little more inclusive. The history and roots of each word come from around the world with rich and deep lore and meaning.

• What is Mermaiding?

  The act of putting on, using, and training with a monofin, tail skin, and other appropriate gear to have the appearance of the mythical creatures from different cultures.

• Can I use a payment plan for a Course?

  Yes. Payment must be made in full prior to Certification. If using a payment plan the last session of the course (the certifying session) will not be scheduled or done until final payment has been made and balance is paid in full. If the course is a single day or less in length it shall not be scheduled until full payment is received. Should an emergency occur you can reschedule up to 2 (two) times before incurring a $15 rescheduling fee per change. There is no cancellation fee, however there will be no refunds.

• What is your refund policy?

  Once a course/session has started there will be no refunds for any sessions, courses, lessons, or training regardless if partially or fully paid. The only exception is for the Zero to Merrow course in which the first session scheduled will begin with a swim test, which if failed will result in the inability to take that particular course and thus a full refund of any funds to that point minus the $50 testing fee.

• Do you offer discounts?

  We offer 10% off for Military (Active and Veteran) and First Responders, and 5% for Teachers and immediate family of Military/First Responders. Must see proof of status to be provided.

• What methods of payment do you accept?

  We accept Paypal, Cash, and Certified Checks.
